  • WOW!! After reading the topic on record keeping, you guys seem to have it all together. I am new to homeschooling (11-2005) I live in fl. It seems like from what Ya'll have said it is best to start from the beginning keeping a portfolio, problem is, I don't even know where to begin. I am using Alpha Omega (lifepac) 8th grade for both my children. Any suggestions?

  • It is that time again for me to prepare the portfolios. This year I have four to prepare. Since I am not able to find the extend dividers, I have decided to print up Donna's cover sheets or make my own, and print them on card stock paper. These will go into a plastic cover sheet and then I will place a tab on the edge to tell what the subject is.

  • I really don't know how to ask this question but here goes: When you are keeping samples of your child's work, how do you know what to keep and what not too? We have had so much going on this year that most of her stuff I can't find. We just recently moved into a new home and are starting all over again. Long story and won't go into it.

  • I was wondering what secular boxed curriculum you ladies recommend. I am interested in opinions the good, bad and indifferent.

  • I was lucky enough to find a GeoSafari school version. I'd love to use it to teach vocabulary words from Apologia Biology next year. I'm very grateful for the codes and for the vocabulary lists on your site. One question, though. How did you teach all of these vocabulary words in just 2 weeks? I was thinking about starting in the summer but wanted to know what you guys did. Thanks in advance.
