This is my grandmother's recipe.
In memory of my Granny Bridges 1915-2001
Cut tomatoes into 3/4 inch slices. Dip into egg, then into bread crumbs, back into egg and back into bread crumbs again. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add tomato slices and cook slowly until golden brown on each side and tomato is tender. Season to tase with salt & pepper.
