Broccoli/Rice/Cheese

This is an amount for an 8 x 8 inch dish.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups of cooked broccoli
  • 2-3 cups of cooked rice
For the cheese sauce
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 to 1-1/2 cups cheddar cheese

Directions

Combine and cook the ingredients for the cheese sauce on top of the stove, medium heat, for about 5 minutes.

Gently stir the broccoli and then the rice into the cheese sauce.

Pour it all into a greased 8 x 8 inch dish.
Cover with foil.
Cook for 30 minutes in a 375 degree oven..
Take off the foil and cook an additional 15 minutes, until it looks a little brown on the top.
