I use this chicken for soups, salads, BBQ sandwiches, etc. I bag meal size chicken servings in freezer bags for later use. Once chicken is deboned, I save the bones to make chicken broth the next day.
Sprink chicken cavity with salt, garlic,
pepper, seasoning, and basil. Put onion, celery, and carrot in cavity. Put
chicken in slow cooker. Sprinkle with basil, poultry seasoning and garlic.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
When done remove skin and debone.
