  • WOW!! After reading the topic on record keeping, you guys seem to have it all together. I am new to homeschooling (11-2005) I live in fl. It seems like from what Ya'll have said it is best to start from the beginning keeping a portfolio, problem is, I don't even know where to begin. I am using Alpha Omega (lifepac) 8th grade for both my children. Any suggestions?

  • It is that time again for me to prepare the portfolios. This year I have four to prepare. Since I am not able to find the extend dividers, I have decided to print up Donna's cover sheets or make my own, and print them on card stock paper. These will go into a plastic cover sheet and then I will place a tab on the edge to tell what the subject is.

  • I really don't know how to ask this question but here goes: When you are keeping samples of your child's work, how do you know what to keep and what not too? We have had so much going on this year that most of her stuff I can't find. We just recently moved into a new home and are starting all over again. Long story and won't go into it.

  • I am so far behind!!!! I have to start working on it this weekend. Coming to this forum every now and then is a great reminder for me to keep up on my record keeping.

  • I was working on my daughter's portfolio last night and realized, I forgot to put her Pirate Lapbook together. So, we will be working on that this weekend. The other big problem that I see, is that she hasn't put the date on most of her work and now I can't remember when we did the pirate lesson. I'll have to look in my blog and see what day it was.
