Have any of you seen Boomwhackers? I am thinking of getting a set for my kids for Christmas. There is also a curriculum booksthat teaches notes and stuff. I thought this would be a fun break once a week.

I have seen these, and have thought of them for my kids too. They look like a lot of fun.

One cool thing about them is that you could give a child only certain ones that are "guaranteed" to sound good together. That way they can make up their own songs. I think it is the 4 and the 7 out of an 8-toned scale that you take away....I may be wrong about that.

I've seen these in catalogs and they look like fun. smile.gif If you purchase them, let us know how it goes.
I thought about it but since my kids are so young they would just end up boomwhacking each other. laugh.gif All kidding aside, I do not play a musical instrument so I know nothing. dunno.gif

I've not used these but I have seen them in action.
The first music teachers at the school our church opporates had these for some of the grades. The kids really had fun playing these for chapel services and for school programs. laugh.gif

I've seen these before. When my dc were in ps, the choir director used them for a program. They looked like a lot of fun & they really were on tune. The only problem with them that I would see is that teaching rythym might be difficult bc they are so big.
