For young children

http://www.gutenberg.net/etext/12109

This is at Gutenberg and the book, The House that Jack Built, is one written by Randolph Caldecott. The book is available in different formats. The first one, the HTML contains the illustrations and although it says it is 35 KB, it is really over 1 megabyte. You have the option of downloading a zipped package of the book. The zipped HTML package contains the story and the illustrations.

This is The Real Mother Goose and the whole thing is here, illustrated. As you can imagine it is a whooping big file.. over 14 megabytes! Both HTML versions are over 14 Megabytes. Download the zipped file so you will have it handy on your computer if you want to use this book for your kindergarten. The zipped version contains a small and large version of all of the illustrations.
