Well I am changing mid stream on my 1st grader. . .he saw after C'mas I got the boys his old workbooks (since I had the teacher book) so I just went and bought the kids books to go along with the teacher one I had . .. .

He saw them (oldest did) and said Mom I want books just like the bro's. . .I said No you don't. . .you did that work last year. . ..but Ican get you books LIKE theirs. . .would you like that . .(now this is the kid who I took kicking and screaming to the school area. . .and nothing doing he hated it so I thought I would change curriculum from Alpha Omega K to something diff for 1st. . .

Now he sees bro's (twins) doing the Alpha Omega K and he wants to do similar. . .so today I bought the Science, History & Government, Language Arts. (This is what I have wanted for a while. . .that way till I get real comfortable with what I want to do at least Iknow he is getting all the basics covered. . .I don't have to dig and chase down. . .and if we want to delve into something further we have that option.

I am soooooo excited. . .he did K fine (4 - 5 yrs old) now we are working on 1st grade (5 yrs - 6 yrs old) so he is ahead of the game. . .

we did Math 1st grade. . .Spanish, Sign Language, a school book, like History and Social Studies, we had that one of the therapist gave us (but it was 2nd grade)(but he loves reading maps we found out and we have almost finished it!) Draw Write Now! Book 1 & 2, Bible, he journalized with his drawings. . .and even the Draw Write Now has writing with each step by step drawing he does, me and Dad read to the boys, he reads to us. . .and I had a cheap Science book from Sam's or Wal-Mart we worked in occassinally. .. so I had all my bases covered. . .just feel better right now in this comfort zone. .. till I get my HS legs. . .hahaha

Thanks for listening

They are all still working in their books so hard. I am so excited to find something we both feel comfortable with.

So exciting. he is in book 5 on most subjects. . .so we will school thru the summer to get his 1st grade year under way. he should be finished with his attendance in around 10 days. . .. but since we just switched programs. . .I will finish his 1st grade year and just count the days we school and in the fall start his 2nd grade year and new attendance chart.
