Scroll down for record #2!
Zachary... for the first time since homeschooling... just sat down for TWO hours and did work!!! WOOHOO Now I gotta admit, the first 45 mins was HORRIBLE!!! He cried, he whined, I yelled and I threatened! LOL Then finally I gave him a sheet with 100 math problems, tempers were flaring and it wasnt pretty here, and I continued to tell him that as long as he whinned and complained I would continue to print off more paper work for him to do, he threw fits and wouldnt do his work..... Then all of a sudden, he figured if he went down instead of across on his math sheet that it seemed faster so he started getting excited about doing it, he got maybe 40 problems done then I explained to him that because his attitude changed he didnt have to finish, that we only started working on it because he didnt have control of his body and the math problems helped him get that control he needed. So we did some greater, less than, some more simple addition, worked on learning nickels, he got that pretty good, wrote by 5's to 100, then I told him since he worked so good for over an hour that he could have a small break and then we would start reading, he didnt like that idea and told me he already knew how to read RECORD #2 By 8pm, ALL 4 of my kids were asleep!! That has NEVER happened!! WOOHOO!! Rachel |

Congrats on finding something that works. . .that is what I have finally done. . .found something that works. . . Isn't it a great feeling. . .
We are going back to some work he had not enjoyed so much the first time (alpha omega and worksheets) but I got them for the youngers to do since I had invested in the Teach Books. .. so now he said that's what I want again. . .and he is working his fingers to the bone today. I went yest and picked it up. . .minus teacher books right now.. .for 1st grade. . .had K on file. . . hahaha More later Car |

My oldest is always wanting to do what my youngest is doing. I find it confusing. I always thought is would be the other way around. While it is at times, it seems to go both ways.
