How necessary is the teacher's guide for R for S and what levels?

I've heard you have to have the TG because it tells you stuff for each day. I found the TG on ebay for $6!! ( I got the 1st or 2nd? not sure which one it was as its in the mail coming my way right now) So watch ebay and maybe you can find it for pretty cheap! Hopefully others have a better answer for ya though

The weekly story is in the TG along with an appendix of stuff (like 1 extra worksheet per chapter and record keeping stuff). I am using Level A. There are some additional instructions in the TG that are not in the student workbooks but if you wanted to do the bare minimum, you could figure it out. I don't know about the other levels though.
