I have a 3 month old daughter, who will be homeschooled. I live in Toronto Ontario Canada. I am looking for any local resources, ideas on curriculum etc. Also, seeking out any homeschool groups or co-ops in my area. Yes I am starting early, but DH and I have already decided to homeschool. I want to be sure that I am well prepared and know what I am getting myself into. I may be contacted ....or through this forum. Any help will be more than appreciated.

Thank-You,
Brianna's Mommy

Books! Start getting books on or about homeschooling from the library. Buy the ones that really strike you as useful.

There are several organiztions that will provide lists of homeschool co-ops in your area. The one I use most often for a lot of homeschool related things is my membership with the Home School Legal Defense Association. I do believe they have a way for Canadians to register with them is you are interested.

There again Books! A lot of the newest editions have listings of groups by region, country, state.

Curriculum questions - do you know what type of curriculum you want to use - classical, unschooling, traditional, religious, eclectic? Once you figure out what type you want to use, I'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction or at least tell you what works and doesn't for them. Again, lots of reading up on various approaches to homeschooling.

Hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction.
