Turkey Breast

Ingredients

  • 6 1/2 lb. bone in turkey breast, thawed if frozen
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium celery, chopped
  • 1 dried bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. coarsley ground pepper
  • 1 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 cup water
  • turkey gravy if desired

Directions

Remove gravy packet or extra parts from turkey breast; reserve gravy packet if making turkey gravy. Place onion, celery and bay leaf in body cavity of turkey. Place turkey in 5-6 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix bouillon granules and water until granules are dissolved; pour over turkey. Cover and cook on low heat setting 7-8 hours. Remove turkey from cooker; keep warm. Make turkey gravy, following directions on packet.
